IMPULSE HIT — Delete your account
Delete your account in the app
The fastest way is from inside the IMPULSE HIT app. This works for athlete, coach, and parent accounts.
- Open the IMPULSE HIT app and sign in.
- Tap Settings in the bottom navigation bar.
- Scroll to the bottom, below the Sign Out button, and tap Delete account.
- In the Delete account? dialog, type DELETE in the box labeled “Type DELETE to confirm”.
- Tap Delete. The app shows “Deleting account…” and then returns you to the sign-in screen.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If the app shows “Could not delete account — check your connection and try again,” your account has not been deleted; try again with a working connection.
Can’t use the app? Request deletion by email
If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, email us and we will delete the account for you. Please write from the email address on the account, and include that address in your message so we can find it.
Request deletion by emailThe button opens your email app with a prefilled message to support@impulsehit.com. If it does not open, send an email to that address with the subject “Account deletion request” and the email address of your account.
We may ask you to confirm you own the account before deleting it. We aim to complete requests within 30 days.
If the account belongs to an athlete under 18, a parent or guardian may make the request on their behalf.
What gets deleted
When an account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Your sign-in account (login and email address).
- Your profile.
- Your recorded sessions, impact events, and alerts.
- Your paired sensor device records.
- Your team memberships, and any household records linked to your account.
- Session data files (CSV files) stored in the cloud under your account.
- Data stored on the phone you delete from is also wiped from that phone.
Coaches: deleting a coach account also removes the teams and rosters that coach created.
What may be kept, and for how long
Deleting an account removes the data listed above from our live systems. Some information may remain for a limited time, indefinitely where noted below, or where the law requires:
- Consent and agreement records. We keep a permanent record of your acceptance of our Terms of Service and Privacy Notice, and of any parental consent given or withdrawn for an athlete under 18, including the parent or guardian’s name and email, the date, and the IP address used. We keep these records indefinitely, even after your account is deleted, as proof that consent and agreement were obtained. They do not include your sessions, impacts, or other activity data.
- Backups. We do not currently keep automated database backups, so deleted data is not retained in backups.
- Server and security logs. Our database provider keeps server logs for 1 day.
- Emails with us, including your deletion request. Retention period: 12 months.
- Team records held by your organization. Your school or team may hold its own copies of reports or exports made before deletion, which are outside our control.
For how we handle data generally, see our Privacy Notice.
